| 概要 | Quantum Hall (QH) effects are macroscopic quantum phenomena observed in the 2-dimensional electron system. This book gives a self-contained introduction to QH effects. Part I offers a quick summary of...quantum field theory. Parts II and III are devoted to monolayer and bilayer QH systems. Algebraic aspects of the QH system are reviewed in Part IV. This second edition reflects recent developments in the field since the first edition was published seven years ago. There are new chapters on topics such as Dirac electrons, super symmetry, charge density wave states in higher Landau levels, and unconventional QH effects in graphene. Part III has been revised to reflect achievements in bilayer QH systems, and Part IV is rewritten in view of noncommutative geometry. The book is for students and researchers in condensed matter physics, particle physics, theoretical physics, and mathematical physics. It is also suitable for an introduction to quantum field theory.
