| 概要 | For two centuries The Imperial University of St. Petersburg produced generation after generation of brilliant number theorists, including Chebyshev, Korkin, Zolotarev, Markov, Voronoi and Vinogradov. ...n 1947, at the beginning of the Cold War, Delone described their work with nationalistic pride, an approach which probably created the obvious delay in his work's translation until now. However, Delone's treatment of each mathematicians' contributions is thorough and accurate, giving the most important work in number theory of each of these mathematicians along with a short biography, significant articles in the original terminology and notation, and commentary.
