| 概要 | This first volume in a three-volume set concerns the physics and the psychophysics of medical imaging, beginning with a description of x- ray imaging and progressing to review linear systems theory an... its application to signal and noise propagation in such systems. Most of the chapters are devoted to the physics of individual imaging modalities, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, flat-panel x-ray detectors and, in particular, their use in mammography. The second half of the volume covers topics in psychophysics. It addresses the relationship between image quality metrics and visual perception of the information carried by medical images, including discussion of various models of perception in the presence of noise, and statistical methods for determining the efficacy of medical imaging tasks, and variants of ROC analysis.
