概要 | Manstead (psychology, Cardiff U., UK), Frijda (study of emotion, Amsterdam U., the Netherlands), and Fischer (psychology, U. of Amsterdam) present the keynote papers from the symposium that provided t...e title to this volume, held in June 2001. Representing the disciplines of psychology, biology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, economics, psychiatry, and cognitive science, the 26 methodologically diverse papers are intended to provide representative coverage of the major research domains in the study of emotions. Topics include psychological and neuroscientific views of basic emotional mechanisms; the neural correlates of emotional processes; the nature of emotional feelings; the relationships of emotions to action, rationality, and decisions; the nature of the processes leading to, as well as constituting, emotions; and critical issues surrounding the concept of emotions, such as its presumed passivity or its distinction from rationality. Other topics include the role of emotions in social interactions and in moral issues and the ways in which emotional experience and behavior relate to the social and cultural context.
