| 概要 | Economists from British and US universities and The World Bank help further the development of the assessment process for identifying and measuring outcomes of environmental policy. They do consider o...her criteria for assessment and decision making, but focus on economic efficiency, cost-benefit analysis, the economic valuation of environmental resources, and other pillars of Economics. Among their theoretical concerns are trade-off-based indicators of environmental quality as an environmental analog to gross national product. The applications they describe include using sustainability indicators for Central Europe to measure the effects of transition on the environment, and the success or failure of the Danish pesticide program depending on the choice of indicator.
