While Sax addresses materials having dangerous properties of all kinds, Bretherick focuses upon the pyrotechnic--explosive or flamm...ble. A significant change to this edition is the use of a consecutive serial number, rather than page number, to locate specific chemicals--this, in the absence of running headings, slows the search for an entry. Contains some 4,600 main entries and as many secondary citations. In section 2 the constituent compounds within each group are alphabetical, with each compound referenced by serial number.
