| 概要 | The third edition of this major text has been extensively revised and expanded with new coverage of managing endocarditis, diseases of pulmonary arteries, and disease of systemic veins, along with new...echocardiographic, computed tomographic, and MRI images. The two volumes' 55 chapters include five devoted to general considerations, followed by chapters on ischemic heart disease, acquired valvar heart disease, congenital heart disease, other cardiac conditions, and disease of the thoracic arteries and veins. More specific topics include cor triatriatum, ventricular septal defect, Ebstein anomaly, congenital aortic stenosis, vascular ring and sling, cardiac tumor, and acute aortic dissection. The chapters are heavily illustrated with b&w photos, drawings, and tables; and each includes an extensive list of references. Four of the five authors studied under John Kirklin, author of the first two editions, at the U. of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham; they now practice in the US and Canada.
