概要	Despite having immigration policies that are no more restrictive than their neighbors in the EU, the Nordic countries have experienced practically no illegal labor immigration. In this study, Hjarno u...es Denmark, Portugal, and Germany as case studies in an attempt to understand why this is so. He concludes that, in contrast to other countries, the Nordic countries enjoy a pattern of democratic collaboration between employers and employees which restrains employers from hiring illegal immigrants.
