Dirac died in 1984, St. John's College, Cambridge (with which Dirac had been affiliated) instituted a series of annual Dirac Lectures, at which it is the intention that physicists of th... first rank will speak in terms intelligible to undergraduate students of physics. This nice little book contains the texts of the first two Dirac lectures. Richard P. Feynman speaks (very clearly, very cleverly) on "The reason for antiparticles", and Steven Weinberg about how strings may be leading us "Toward the final laws of physics". Drawings (including a sketch of Dirac by Feynman), a few photos, some unintimidating mathematical material, the whole suffused with evidence of the speakers' affection both for Dirac and for the young persons who comprised their audiences.
