| 概要 | Taking both simple and complex ecological models as examples, combines the statistical modelling techniques used in biometry and modelling based on differential equations used in biomathematics. Refer... to models that describe processes in an ecological context ranging from simple stochastic models for density estimation (e.g. line transect methods) to models defined by differential equations, such as competition models of the Lotka-Volterra type. Part of the book originated in a semester course on statistical methods in ecology, but advanced material has been added, so that it is more appropriate for scientists working in the fields of biological modelling, biometry, biomathematics, and applied statistics.
