| 概要 | Occupational biomechanics, according to Chaffin (director, Human Motion Simulation Laboratory, U. of Michigan), Andersson (orthopedic surgery, Rush U. Medical Center), and Martin (industrial and opera...ions engineering, U. of Michigan), can be defined as "the science concerned with the mechanical behavior and limitations of the musculoskeletal system and component tissues when a person performs an exertion in industry" and is an integral part of contemporary ergonomics practice. In this work they combine their own professional experience and research with a review of the literature in order to introduce the field in a manner accessible to the relative novice. Following basic preliminary issues, chapters discuss mechanical work capacity evaluation; bioinstrumentation; biomechanical models; classifying and evaluating manual work; manual material-handling limits; guidelines for work in sitting postures; biomechanical consideration in machine control and workplace design; hand-tool design guidelines; guidelines for whole-body and segmental vibration; and worker selection, training, and protective devices.
