| 概要 | Offers a detailed, relatively self-contained account of certain natural algebraic generalizations of discrete groups, based on a research project Fine (mathematics, Fairfield U., Connecticut) and Rose...berger (mathematics, U. of Dortmund, Germany) initiated in 1985 to extend the algebraic study of Fuchsian groups to the more general context of one-relator products and related group theoretical constructions. The treatment requires a great deal of preliminary material on combinatorial group theory to be introduced first, which makes it suitable as a core or supplementary text for a seminar or course in combinatorial group theory geared toward discrete groups.
