| 概要 | Originally published in 1984, Grewe's "Epochen der Volkerrechtsgeschichte" is widely regarded as one of the classic 20th-century works of international law. It provides a theoretical overview and deta...led analysis of the history of international law from the Middle Ages, to the Age of Discovery and the Thirty Years War, from Napoleon Bonaparte to the Treaty of Versailles, the Cold War and the Age the Single Superpower. In addition to translating Grewe's work into English, Byers (Duke U.) co-writes a new chapter--updating the book to October 1998 and making the revised translation of interest to German international lawyers, international relations scholars and historians as well.
