| 概要 | This two-volume set collects papers published between 1985 and 2000 that deal with the various approaches and frameworks related to differences in economic coordination and control systems. They addre...s issues involved in analyzing the characteristics of several versions of capitalism, and the reasons that they developed and reproduced. They also discuss the main features of distinctive types of market economy in various regions of the world, especially North America, Europe, and Asia. The editor (Richard Whitley, U. of Manchester) states that he selected comparative studies wherever possible in order to highlight alternative ways of structuring market economies. Volume I (16 contributions) covers theoretical issues and perspectives, contrasting forms of capitalism, and national and regional capitalisms--Anglo-Saxon, and continental Europe. Volume II contains 13 articles on East Asian national and regional capitalisms, and globalization, change and performance. There is no subject index.
