| 概要 | This empirical study encompassing a century of the US patent database probes industrial change and underpinning rules of technological transformation. From this evolutionary framework, Andersen (manag...ment, U. of London), with the ESRC Centre for Research on Innovation and Competition at the U. of Manchester, challenges several dogmas of economic reasoning (e.g., those of Schumpeter, 1939) with respect to the dynamics of technological innovation. Major themes include: structural changes in trajectories of technological opportunities; the hunt for S-shaped and wave-like patterns in innovation trajectories; industrial dynamics from a competence bloc approach; the diversity of firms and path dependency; and technological leadership.
