| 概要 | Having set out to produce a comprehensive text of such systems, the intrepid contributors decided not to follow the conventional path of ancient, modern, and subsurface groupings, but rather to anchor...their effort on seven themes. That proved too ambitious, but the thematic approach remained and generated studies of the sea floor morphology and sediment paths of the Northern Gulf of Mexico Deepwater, interpreting turbidite systems with seismic data in two and three dimensions, the Mount Messenger formation in New Zealand as an example of contrasting styles of basin-floor fan and slope fan deposition, turbidity current sediment waves in subsurface sequences, and other topics. Many of the studies include color graphics, but in order to keep the volume affordable, the really big, really colorful illustrations are on the disk.
