| 概要 | Teplin's book examines (from a social science perspective) the interface between the mental health and the criminal justice systems. She has solicited articles from a variety of disciplines (criminolo...y, law, and psychology) by writers who are all well-known in their fields. Six recent (and major) developments in mental health law and public policy in the USA have further complicated the relationship between the mental health and criminal justice systems. They highlight what is currently a burning issue, and provide the backdrop against which the contributors write. A two-fold rationale underlies the book's approach. It looks at the law in action, with particular emphasis on the ways in which recent changes in case law, statutes and public policy interact to produce the current mental health and criminal justice process.
