Series 94, 1998-1999 covers themes in neurogenetic studies, the role of tyrosine phosphorylation in cell growth and disease, the biology of the epidermis and its appendages, and the phenotypic diversity of monogenic disease. Series 96, 20002001 covers themes in coordinated transcriptional regulation of cell growth and proliferation, cellular responses to telomere shortening, multicellular life in the plant kingdom, cell cycle control and cancer, and recent studies of the ubiquitin system and the N-end rule pathway. "The Harvey Lectures" reflect "the evolution of physiology and physiological chemistry into biochemistry and the development of molecular biology from the roots of bacteriology and biochemistry" in this century. This lecture series, published annually, provides "a series of distinguished lectures in the life sciences" by world-renowned scientists in all areas of biomedicine. These lectures occur in New York City throughout the course of each academic year.
