| 概要 | Municipal corporations were established in 1835, in Britain, to supply essential local services. This study places municipal corporations in the wider context of local government by examining the deve...opment of different categories of local authorities and the regulatory framework which applied to them. It then explores the preparation and audit of municipal accounts, contrasting the development of accountability within municipal corporations and limited companies in the private sector.
