| 概要 | Contains a selection of 21 contributions written by US university- affiliated geologists and geographers, first presented at the 11th Himalaya-Karakoram-Tibet (HKT) Workshop held in April 1996. The vo...ume attempts to integrate both "hard-rock" and "soft-rock" geology, paleotectonic, and neotectonic history, and endogenic (tectonic) and exogenic (geomorphic) processes in the Himalaya. Contributions are divided into three sections addressing Tibet, trans-Himalaya, and Tethys; the high Himalayan crystalline zone; and sediments, structures, and landforms in the Himalayan forelands.
