| 概要 | "Trade liberalization" implies any change which leads a country's trade system toward neutrality in the sense of bringing its economy closer to the situation which would prevail if these were no gover...mental interference in the trade system. Liberalizing foreign trade is the result of a major five-year study, undertaken by the World Bank, which looks at how market-based developing countries have attempted to liberalize trade over the past 45 years. This comparative seven-volume set investigates the liberalization experiences of 19 countries from the early 1950s to the mid-1980s (albeit from within a framework that explicitly assumes the benefits of open trading and which therefore does not subject its own assumptions to criticism). The countries covered are (v.1) Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay; (v.2) Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore; (v.3) Israel and Yugoslavia; (v.4) Brazil, Colombia, and Peru; (v.5) Indonesia, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka; and (v.6) New Zealand, Spain, and Turkey.
