| 概要 | Tachau charts the development of a complex of optical, epistemological, and semantic ideas to which 14th-century scholars in Oxford, London, and Paris contributed. By doing so however, she says they h...d to integrate questions that today have been dispersed among three distinct, if overlapping, specialties of medieval historians: of philosophy, of science, and of intellectual life generally. Therefore, her goal is to identify how those now disparate strands were woven together in late medieval discussions of knowledge. She covers the background to 14th-century epistemology, interpretation and reconception, the rejection of Ockham's theory of knowledge in England, and the introduction of English theories of knowledge to Paris.
