| 概要 | Advanced text provides advanced students and professionals with a detailed account of the applications of graph theory (and more particularly of matroid theory) the design/analysis of electrical netwo...ks and (secondarily) of the static constructions of mechanical engineers. Alternating chapters treat theory and applications, with Part I (six chapters) given to graph theory, and Part II (twelve chapters) to matroid theory. Exercises and problems appear at the end of each section, and more than a third of the volume (nearly 200 pages) is given to discussion of their solutions. Roughly 400 works are cited in the detailed bibliography. Though possibly somewhat formal for some tastes (very much in the Hungarian tradition), the author has made every effort to be clear and (in his illustrative applications) concrete.
