概要	The Italian Unified Banking & Credit Act dates from January 1 1994 as part of the legislative Decree of September 1 1993 which entered into force at that time. Via this Act previous legislation meant ...o make banking, finance, & credit transactions more transparent & implement the EC Directives have been unified & coordinated. The various credit companies are no longer called 'credit entities' but 'banks' in the Act. The Act is divided into nine Titles each dealing with separate regulations & requirements meant to organize & control banking & credit activity. As a result of this legislative innovation the 'universal bank' has been introduced into the Italian credit system, together with the 'banking group' & the 'holding company'. An important overall change which is brought into the Italian market through the Act is the move towards a despecialization of the Italian credit market.
