The first half of the book discusses procedural issues, including forum selection & governing law, service of process outside the forum, enforcement of judgments, & sovereign immunity. The second half focuses on the defenses that are most likely to be raised by a defendant debtor in a judicial action, such as the act-of-state doctrine, comity, & force majeure; defenses arising under the IMF Articles of Agreement; & defenses that arise under the defendant's own law.
