概要	Challenges the current notion that Japanese people acquired land in colonial Korea through official appropriation, and argues that the transfers were the result of market forces. Quantifying records f...om the period, shows that there were almost no land transfers to the Japanese before the 1930s, and that most were sales of urban property to Japanese merchants. During the depression, however, farmers were left without markets lost their land to forced sales and mortgage foreclosures.
