In the history of economics, the Austrian School is recognized as an important component in the development of contemporary economic thought. These volumes provide a sampling of the contributions of t...e major writers in the Austrian tradition, in order to illustrate the nature of that tradition, its development and maturation during its history, and its relation to other contemporaneous varieties of economics. The time period commences with the 1871 publication of Menger's Grundsatze. It concludes at about 1970, by which time all the important contributions to economics of both Mises and Hayek had been made.
