In this paper, falconry during the Sengoku era is discussed mainly focusing on General Ashikaga, Hosokawa Keicho and court nobles. And examples of 'Taka no Tori' are also considered as an important factor. From the end of 15th century to the beginning of 16th century Hosokawa Masarnoto carried out falconry and deer-hunting, which was generally thought of as a military event, however 11th general Yoshizumi, 12th general Yoshiharu and 13th general Yoshiteru did falconry to deepen friendships with their vassals and court nobles (who were close to generals), and they too began to do falconry as well. After the Heian Era, it became the norm for the Taka no Tori to be given to the Imperial Court, and the activity of falconry once again became to be centered on the Emperor's behavior.
