Notes	選択性緘黙とは学校など特定の社会的場面で発語が見られない状態を示すが，他の場面ではほぼ通常の会話が可能とされる。本稿では，軽度知的発達の遅れを有し，選択性緘黙症状を呈した中学生女児に対して約2年の間に21 回の心理面接を行った事例を検討する。クライエントの「持ち込み」は初期には既存の具体物をセラピストに提示することで意図を汲み取られるための素材として機能していたが，やがてクライエントは自ら想像した「物語」を語るようになった。「物語」を語ることで，徐々にクライエントの面接での言語的やり取りが増加していった。そして，日常生活での出来事も語られるようになっていき，「持ち込み」に拠らない言語的やりとりも増加し，自己表現が豊かになっていった。また，クライエントは「物語」を通じて婉曲的に思いを伝えやすくなっただけではなく，セラピストもクライエントの表現を尊重しながら主体性を発揮させる機会を設定することが可能となったことも面接の進展に寄与したと考えられた。
Notes	This paper aims to examine the case of a girl with a mild intellectual disability and selective mutism. Twenty-one psychotherapy sessions were conducted with the girl over approximately two years. In the beginning, the client 'bringing something into the playroom' was used as a means for the therapist to understand the client's feeling. Gradually, the client came to express her thoughts to tell 'the story' that she imagined. Then, the client telling 'the story' came to increase verbal communication between the client and the therapist. Furthermore, the client became able to talk about events in everyday life, and not to depend on 'bringing something into the playroom'. Her self-expression became rich. Finally, the client became able to convey her thoughts through 'the story' euphemistically, and the therapist became able to create opportunities that the client could decide while respecting the client's own expression and her own pace. These factors contributed to the progress of the psychotherapy sessions.
