Abstract In the second article on the hospitals and long-term care facilities accepting the first batch of Indonesian nurse/certified care worker (kaigo fukushishi) candidates, the authors examined inter-corre...lations between social-economic conditions of hospital/long-term care facilities, reasons for accepting foreign candidates, changes in the workplace after accepting candidates, and evaluation of candidates and the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) scheme. By comparing the structure and others between the hospitals and the long-term care facilities, the following differences were identified: The more hospitals recognize activation of the workplace after accepting the candidates, the more likely they recognize the candidates’ will to study hard. On the other hand, the more long-term care facilities emphasized their future business strategy as one reason for accepting the candidates, the more positively they recognize the candidates’ good point in various aspects.
