概要 A matrix converter can produce output voltage waveform of arbitrary frequency and arbitrary phase angle, and this converter can be utilized as a power supply for resonant magnetic perturbation (RMP) c...oil. And it can produce input current waveform of arbitrary phase angle, and this converter enables unity input power factor, which makes a fusion reactor more efficient. In the three-phase to three-phase matrix converter based on space-vector modulation (SVM), nine switches are controlled so that instantaneous space vector of the line-to-line voltage rotates smoothly in two-dimensional space. Quaternion, four-dimensional hypercomplex number is good at describing three-dimensional rotation as seen in three-dimensional game programming theory, three-dimensional graphics and three-dimensional simulation. Utilizing the performance, we analyze a matrix converter by three-dimensional behavior including rotation instead of transforming to two-dimensional rotation in alpha-beta coordinates. It is claried that the projection of quaternion locus in three-dimensional space in the (1,1,1) direction is the same as alpha-beta transformed locus in two-dimensional space. Concerning direct matrix converter, we clarify the (1,1,1)-directional superposition of three-fold higher harmonics cannot be eliminated.. Quaternion can not only rotate three-dimensional vector but also divide three-dimensional vector. When output voltage quaternion is divided by input one, switching quaternion is obtained, and from the switching quaternion, switching matrix may be deduced. The quaternion characteristics will be utilized to analyze indirect and direct matrix converter based on SVM in more detail.続きを見る
