概要 Heart rates during usual daily life were measured in the inhabitants of a suburban village in Nepal. The subjects were 19 female farmhand (FF), 10 female non-farmhand (FO), 21 male farmhand (MF) and 1...4 male non-farmhand (MO), ages 19 - 69 years. None of the subjects participated in voluntary sports. There was a slack season for farmhand. Mean (±SD) of the total heart rate (THR) throughout a day was 116,994±10,931 beats for FF, 116,380±13,749 beats for FO, 105,344±10,382 beats for MF and 111,909±9,761 beats for MO, respectively. Mean heart rate (MHR) of FF, FO, MF and MO was 82±7, 82±9, 74±7 and 79±7 beats/min, respectively. The highest heart rate (HHR) and the lowest heart rate (LHR) during 24-hr ranged from 121±13 (MF) to 137±16 (FO) beats/min and ranged from 53±6 (MF) to 58±6 (FF) beats/min. The THR, MHR, HHR and LHR were significantly lower in MF than in FF, although significant difference was not found in any heart rate index among FF, FO and MO. The appearance time of the heart rate > 120 beats/min in daily life was 31±44 min for FF, 27±24 min for FO, 6±14 min for MF and 16±27 min for MO, respectively. These results suggest that the physical activity levels in daily life of suburban female in Nepal were higher than in the populations of Japan and other westernized countries, but not in male of a farmer's slack season.続きを見る
