Two-dimensional interaction of solitary waves in shallow water is studied with numerical simulation of a Boussinesq system of equations. Two different types of solution are found according as the inci...dent angle ψ is large or small. The maximal displacement η_max of the surface depends on the angle ψ and the dimensionless amplitude η_0 of initial solitary waves. The value of η_max matches with the analytical result of Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) equation qualitatively as ψ is small, but does not ψ is large.続きを見る
