| 概要 |
Recently, the city center of Fukuoka City has been confronted with the overcrowding problems such as traffic jam, increasing illegal-parked bicycles and lack of pedestrian space. To solve these proble...ms, the city govemment and private organizations implemented the social experiment in November and December 2004 including the shorttermed fringe parking system in north part of Tenjin District for three weeks to redudce the car traffics going into the city center area. The parking system combined with the free-charge shuttle bus system linking between the parking and the city center. This article shows the results and evaluation of the shortrtermed fringe parking system, and concludes by pointing out the problems to be solved to manage the useful regular parking system located in the fringe of city center.続きを見る
