概要 Following the preceding report, this paper describes experimental study on heat transfer characteristics of gaseous solid suspension flows within helically coiled circular tubes. Main attention was p...aid on the effects of particle size and also of the ratio of helix diameter to tube diameter on the heat transfer performance. Experimental results reveal that the heat transfer augmentation effect is larger for the tube with smaller helix diameter. However, more remarkable result is that coarser particles have no significant effect for the heat transfer augmentation other than the added heat capacity of the flowing medium, which is in definite contrast with the fine particle case. Based on these results, discussion is presented on possible particle's motion within the flow field and also on the interaction of the suspended solids with the wall and with gaseous phase turbulence.続きを見る
