概要 Gaseous discharge processes have been investigated to obtain the basic data for the design of the high voltage equipment where the discharge is apart from the wall of the discharge tube. Influence of ...a wall on discharge process has not been investigated in details. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the discharge processes and to measure the flashover voltage at different tube radius R (R=8.3mm, 18.0mm, 28.0mm, 75.5mm) at low pressure in dry air. Luminous waves in pre-breakdown and transient glow phases were observed by means of a image converter camera at pressure P=4.0 Torr. The flashover voltage was measured by the up and down method. The results are summarized as follows ; (1) Corona can develope as a streamer even if the corona tip attachs to the tube wall. (2) The luminous wave in transient glow phase shows a similar behavior as the negative striation in the dc glow phase. (3) The flashover voltage under the β-irradition is independent of the radius of Pyrex-glass tube, whereas it depends on the irradiation intensity.続きを見る
