概要 |
Specific volumes of monodispersed polystyrene were measured in pressure range between 30 and 200 MPa in temperature range between 300 and 500 K. Both liquidus and glassy states were included. The cool...ing rates were kept 0.5K/min for all measurements. The glass transition temperature, Tg is obtained as a function of pressure, P. It increases with pressure, and its pressure dependence is satisfactorily fitted with Simon-type equation, Tg=Tg0(1+P/a)1/c, where Tg0 is the Tg at atmospheric pressure, and a and c are constants. The value of Tg0 is almost the same as that obtained using high pressure DTA for the same sample. However the difference of Tg between that obtained by dilatometry and by DTA increases as pressure increases, even their cooling rates are equal. It is concluded that the number of order parameters sufficient to characterize the polymeric glass is more than one.続きを見る
