概要 |
An efficient elastic image matching technique is investigated with application to off-line handwritten character recognition. In the present technique, each column of an image is mapped to another by ...controlling the mappings of the two endpoints of the column and linearly interpolating between them. Thus, the technique can adjust nonlinear deformation of images, with local slant and translation. The dynamic programming (DP) based algorithm searches for the optimal mapping with a reasonable amount of computation. The effectiveness of the present technique was indicated by recognition experiments on handwritten English alphabets.続きを見る
