概要	A policy officer at the European Free Trade Association Secretariat in Brussels, Johanna investigates relations between Iceland and the European Union (EU) through the lens of the European Economic Ar...a (EEA) Agreement. She asks whether a non-member state can have an impact on EU decision making and whether the EU can ensure that its policies are adhered to in a state that is outside its borders. The study is expanded from the PhD dissertation at the University of Cambridge, and during her initial research 2006-10, Iceland seemed headed for membership in the EU, but by 2012 considerable uncertainty had risen.
