It sets out detailed information and explanations for compiling price indexes for exports and imports, and summarizes conceptual and theoretical issues that statistical offices should consider when making decisions on how to deal with various problems in compiling them. The main readers are expected to be government officials, especially in countries revising or setting up their indexes, but businesses, policy makers, and researchers might also find useful information.
