Abstract We examined some physiological parameters in 347 schoolboys and 340 schoolgirls annually for 5 years using the same manners in each year. Annual growth in body height was the biggest between 12 to 14 ...years of age in boys and between 11 and 12 years in girls. In boys who were born after 1976, the later they were born, the higher in height, however, such relation was not found after 1976 or in girls. Annual growth of weight was biggest between 12 to 13 years of age in both genders. Quetelet's index calculated from weight and height increased with grade, and annual increase in the index was bigger in girls than in boys, and obese or obesity-apt pupils were found in 6.0-16.0%, lean and lean tendent in 1-16%. Urinalysis revealed proteinuria in 1.2% of boys and 1.3% of girls, glucosuria in 1 boy, and positive occult blood in urine were found in 6.0-11.2% of boys and girls annually.
