アメリカ訪問プログラムで視察した最新の動向について,大学図書館に関しては電子情報資源の収集および提供方法,地区コンソーシアムの活動,バーチャル・レファレンス,図書館施設等に関する事例を,公共図書館に関しては地域住民サービス,スモールビジネス支援,利用者用パソコン管理,RFIDによる蔵書管理,外部資金獲得方法等の状況を報告する。最後に,プログラムに参加して得た,電子情報資源サービス,インターネット時...代のレファレンス・サービス,図書館員についての私見を述べる。
The author reports on the latest developments observed during a recent trip to the United States. For academic libraries, these observations include how electronic resources are acquired and handled, regional consortial activities, virtual reference, and library facilities . For public libraries, these observations include services to the community, support for small businesses, provision of public computers, stack maintenance using radio frequency identification (RFID), and acquiring outside funding. Finally, the author discusses how participation in the program helped her as a librarian to acquire skills in providing electronic resource services and reference services in an online environment.show more
