| Abstract |
This paper clarifies the development of Kubota Hiroshi's educational thoughts by analyzing the cultural creative activities and the role of teachers in the Yoshiki Plan. Cultural creative activity is ...important aspect of his educational thoughts. The idea of such activities was influenced by his experience of education while he was in elementary school and normal school. After the war, he proposed his educational thoughts in which the role of the teacher was changed from what it had been previously. He proposed these changes on the basis of his reflections on his practices. Before and during the war, he took the initiative in incorporating cultural creative activities in the school lessons. Early in the postwar period, he ascertained the educational values of such activities for children through observation. In this way, he drastically changed the role of the teacher through his educational thoughts. His thoughts gave importance to children's activities, and he also engaged the children in cultural communication.show more
