Abstract Among the investigated soybean cultivars, Japanese cultivars that have possibility for the highest productivity of isoflavone were Hougyoku and Wasegurodaizu, followed by Akisirome and Fukuyutaka. Bec...ause the isoflavone content of soybean seeds harvested in summer was lower than of those harvested in autumn, it was decided that the autumn cropping was superior to the summer cropping for the period of cultivation.
