Hydroponic system for high quality production of netted melon

Abstract 2種類の異なる培地(パミスおよびロックウール)を用いたネットメロンの湛液・循環型養液栽培を試みた. 連作年数の長い土耕栽培圃場では,病気の発生や欠株が多く見られたが,連作年数の短い土耕栽培圃場や養液栽培区では順調に生育した.葉の大きさ(葉長,葉幅,葉柄長)は連作年数の短い圃場で最も大きく,パミス培地や連作年数の長い圃場がそれに続き,ロックウール培地で最小であった.果実の大きさは連作年数の短い土耕栽...培で最も大きく,パミス培地がそれに続いたが,果実の糖度(Brix)はパミス培地区において最も高かった. 以上の結果から,パミスを培地とした湛液・循環型養液栽培システムにより高品質なネットメロンを栽培できることが明らかになった.
Applicability of circulatory hyrdoponic system with deep flow technique (DFT) to netted melon cultivation were investigated by using two different media, pumice and rockwool. While a large number of disease-infected and missing plants were observed in successive soil culture, plants in hydroponic and non-successive soil culture grew smoothly. Leaves in non-successive soil culture were largest, and those in hydroponic culture with pumice and successive soil culture followed. The smallest leaves appeared in hydroponic culture with rockwool. Non-successive soil culture gave the largest fruits and hydroponic with pumice succeeded. On the contrary, Brix (16.3) of the fruits in hydroponic culture with pumice was highest in all the treatments. From the above results, circulatory hydroponic culture with DFT by using pumice media enables to produce high quality fruits of netted melon.
